when installing a new squeeze system i noticed that it's not possible
to make grub install into multiple MBRs using the installer.
since my boot partition is on a RAID1 i'd like grub to be installed with
redundancy, too.

IMHO ubuntu supports this.
workaround: after install: for DISK in sdb sdc sdd; do grub-install /dev/$DISK;
done

probably this is an issue when upgrading grub, too.
