In particular, the last comment suggests a patch for Debian: http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=80382 I haven't applied it yet (I used the "nvidia-settings -a InitialPixmapPlacement=0" workaround, switched back to 4, 1 -- seems fine so far, I haven't restarted xsession yet, too busy with many apps for now). -- Marius
