Are you still seeing this in tmux 1.8?

Thanks,

Bug#682725: tmux: mc + tmux don't mix very well

2012-08-01 Thread Romain Francoise
Hi,

Simon L'nu simon.ra...@gmail.com writes:

 1. start a tmux session.
 2. start mc (midnight commander), making sure you can toggle to the mc
 sub-shell
 3. resize window once or more times
 4. come back to the session with attach, and mc? tmux? in the window
pane that has mc in it won't get SIGWINCH, and stay at the size the
session started with, making it hard to navigate.

I can't seem to reproduce this, mc always resizes correctly to the new
client size upon reattach.

What's the significance of the mc sub-shell in step 2?

Also, what's the value of TERM inside your tmux session?

Thanks,

Bug#682725: tmux: mc + tmux don't mix very well

2012-07-24 Thread Simon L'nu
Package: tmux
Version: 1.6-2
Severity: normal

hi,

here's what i mean.

1. start a tmux session.
2. start mc (midnight commander), making sure you can toggle to the mc
sub-shell
3. resize window once or more times
4. come back to the session with attach, and mc? tmux? in the window
pane that has mc in it won't get SIGWINCH, and stay at the size the
session started with, making it hard to navigate.

i can reproduce this every time, but it doesn't seem to happen in
console (TERM=linux). any other TERM, i get this behaviour. it's like
what screen used to do a long time ago with mc running in a window's shell.

hopefully this is descriptive enough to help.

thanks in advance,
simon
