Hi,
Falcon has it own basic memory manager functions.
In these functions, during memory allocation,
the size of allocated memory is expanded by sizeof(size_t)
[4 bytes, on 32-bit MIPS],
which is used for saving an amount of allocated memory.
The first 4 bytes are used to store the amount.

Hi Julien,
Sorry for responding late I was travelling.
The falconpl build on mipsen (and sparc) dies with a bus error. Likely
some alignment issue(?).
I just discussed this with upstream, they said they have not got a
chance to try building it on mips architecture, even though they used to

So I'm not sure how to resolve this FTBFS.. Is it possible to provide me
access to some porter machine having mipsen and sparc? I'm not a DD yet

build logs.
