to exist under recent testing (also amd64) - at least I was not able to
reproduce it here.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the bug here on a kind-of-recent Debian
unstable. Even worse, I currently do not have a working Debian stable
installation around. But I will contact the upstream author of gwyddion,
maybe he has seen something similar before
