I'm very interested in minimizing the delta between Ubuntu packaging of Compiz and Debian packaging of Compiz. I think the best approach is to create a Compiz packaging team at Alioth and host all of the Debian packaging there: that way, we (upstream Compiz) as team members can keep the Debian
