I mean you should better contact ldapscripts author directly if _you_ have some ideas about improvements in _his_ software. As maintainer I can fix obvious bugs, or forward some real problems to upstream. But when you want to share your _ideas_ I'm just an unnecessary retransmitter. Showing the bad internal command or some verbose mode might help. The hard way to add users using ldapadd and a ldif file works without problems, of course. In case of error I recommend to look into /var/log/lapscripts.log There are often detailed info there. I agree, that this is not very user-friendly.
