Hello! Sorry to be adding another "me too", but you asked "Is there a package depending on this behavior, ..." so I have to add that the new upstream release of libarchive 3.2.1 fixes several security related issues and other critical fixes, but unfortunately it doesn't build with the alpha-releases of xz-utils. An update would be appreciated or atleast a status update on what the maintenance status is. Should this package be orphaned so others can take care of it? I might get some time to look at this during debconf so would appreciate feedback ASAP.
