thanks for looking at it!

A couple of minor points: You might want to include a watch file for new
 upstream releases.

I indeed wanted to but the website which offers the releases hides the correct
url behind a JavaScript. It took me a while to find out that I had to enable
JavaScript to be able to click on their links. Because of that it would be
necessary for uscan to parse a JavaScript file. I did not find to out how to do
this with uscan or if it is even possible at all. The default seems to just be
searching for a href= tag values which does not work here because the a
href= is generated by JavaScript.

Should you do something with the included pyfixbuf-0.1.tar.gz, like drop it
or add a python package?. It's mostly wasting 400K of space. I guess
currently you have a pristine upstream tarball - it just happens to have
another dollop of software somewhat unhelpfully included, and not in a format
conducive to bulding from it. I guess that's fair enough.

I forgot to remove that tarball from the upstream orig.tar.gz before my upload
to mentors.debian.net.

I solved the debian/watch issue when I noticed that apart from the download
links, there are also links to the individual h1 headers on that website
which include the version number. The resulting debian/watch file is a bit
cryptic but seems to work. I also added debian/repack.sh to debian/watch

debian/repack.sh repacks the upstream tarball, removing the tarball with the
python bindings and some pre-generated documentation.

I added a debian/README.source to explain the changes.

The new version is on mentors as 1.4.0+ds-1

Thanks!

cheers, josch

 Dear mentors,

OK. Looks sound to me. Copyright and packaging seems fine. Autofoo up to date.

Builds OK in stable, and unstable clean chroot. So unless you want to do
the watch file first, I'll upload.
