I'm suffering the identical problem to Philipp Huebner on just one of my boxes. As suggested, I removed all packages connected to qtcurve. This did not solve the problem. Removed ~/.gtkrc-2.0 and ~/.gtkrc.bak. This did not help. Re-installed meld. This did not help. Logged out and logged in
