Please also consider running 'wrap-and-sort -s' (from devscripts) to make it easier to review changes to your build-deps (or other metadata in d/control). I think this is another way round. apt-cache show libjson-c-dev says: This is a transition package that can be safely removed once no package depend on it. The package does not build with libjson-c-dev. I always check with cowbuilder and piuparts.
