It looks like #347308 aka #347774 is back:
If I open an xterm my window manager makes it fill out the whole frame
instantly, but xterm again sometimes does not seem to set the terminal size
to it (but instead to some previous size) until I trigger a resize of the
window, in which case xterm sets the terminal size to the window size.
Btw: #461773 might be a another duplicate of #347308.
