I've encountered this too in XFCE and I've replicated the error on two different machines (one physical, then in a VM to replicate):

1) on an older Acer laptop that's been upgraded from Wheezy to Jessie 32-bit XFCE 4.10. Existing OpenVPN connections already imported under Wheezy are fine, but experiencing the same problem as also reported here, this is from /var/log/messages:

Apr 20 20:26:12 acer-5520 kernel: [ 1047.269489] nm-connection-e[1862]: segfault at 8940628 ip 08940628 sp bff4a2ec error 15

2) I then in Virtualbox 4.3.26 did a clean install of Debian Jessie 64-Bit XFCE 4.10. This is from /var/log/messages:

Apr 20 19:40:38 debian kernel: [ 610.373844] nm-connection-e[2228]: segfault at ba7600 ip 0000000000ba7600 sp 00007ffd48dd4778 error 15
