The current versions of systemd in testing, sid or experimental (214-1) do not have the following commit that came about a month after the 214 branch: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/systemd/systemd/commit/?id=c264aeab4b0e7b69f469e12e78d4a48b3ed7a66e That makes having reliable timestamps on legacy filesystems such as FAT much harder.
