The bug isn't in hurd, so I suspect they will never fix it.
The patch is as simple as a #define.
I see people love to be stubborn and exercise their power. Happens all the
time with free software.

The src/posix/thread.c patch snippet is a GNU/Hurd bug.
So wontfix.
