I copied /usr/share/icewm/* to $HOME/.icewm and started customizing. For the taskbar clock I kept the default options, simply uncommenting them. TimeFormat="%X" TimeFormatAlt="" DateFormat="%c" This options resulted in a flashing taskbar clock. Commenting them out again fixed the problem. I should not expect a flashing clock, ever.
