OK,
Tracked this one down. Its caused by /etc/init.d/networking being left
there when ifupdown is removed.
Could you please fix this? I am marking bug as important and assigning
to your package ifupdown.
Work around is for me to document that ifupdown needs to be purged so
that netscript-2.4

IMHO, known about this for a long time.
netscript provides interface configuration, and ifupdown has to be
removed as it really gets in the road with systemd (it configures the
interface netscript.serve? has already configured...
The ifupdown package leaves a lot to be
