Package: unicode
Version: 1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

whenever I try to type the volcan salute 🖖 in any program (tested in
thunderbird, terminal, leafpad) it shows a square with the Unicode number in it
(01F596). When I try to type it in LibreOffice it does nothing but showing the
string I just typed (u1f596).

I installed the package unicode and the package unicode-data but it did not
change anything.

Other Unicode Signs like ā (u+0101) work properly.

Live long and prosper!

P.S.: I am not sure if I filed this bug correctly. If so I am really sorry. In
this case could you move it to the right package and so on? Thanx!
