Package: apparmor-profiles-extra
Version: 1.5
Followup-For: Bug #802791
Hi,
if using pidgin-sipe the above is not sufficient since we have these
denials:
audit: type=1400 audit(1446299435.901:78): apparmor="DENIED" operation="open"
profile="/usr/bin/pidgin" name="/dev/tty" pid=5958

That's a good starting point. Thanks!
I'll propose modified versions and will bother explaining why, so you
folks get to
Package: apparmor-profiles-extra
Version: 1.5
Followup-For: Bug #802791
The following snippet is enough to make pidgin start on my sid system:
$ cat /etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.bin.pidgin
# Site-specific additions and overrides for usr.bin.pidgin.
# For more details, please see
Package: apparmor-profiles-extra
Version: 1.5
Severity: important
Tags: patch
The latest version of pidgin will not start anymore if AppArmor is in
enforcing mode. The fix (from bug 793152) is to add this to
/etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.bin.pidgin:
# Site-specific additions and overrides for
7 matches
