Bug#804791: [correction] netdiag: netwatch crashes when interface name is enp3s6

2018-02-05 Thread Jure Spik
Hi, I don't have the old machine anymore, but testing this on another
PC with similiar configuration still results in an error, though it now
states Buffer overflow.

Interestingly, when I tried to improve the formatting of program output
for this mail, I noticed that the program does not crash when terminal
window width is set to 69. I found the breaking to occur with 156 and
wider window, while window width 155 characters works ok.

output:
┌───NETWATCH Program 1.0c-
gm─
───
──┐

NETWORK
 REMOTE
NETWORK │
│ HOST (PKTS) X R*** buffer overflow detected
***: netwatch
terminated HOST (PKTS) X R

│
 Aborted

Thank you, Jure

Do you still see this problem? I tried a couple things over the weekend, but
wasn't able to reproduce it.

I made a mistake when reporting the bug. The switch to netwatch was not -i
but -e to select interface
