Honestly, I don't care, unless it happens with proper Debian, too.

And then it'd be important if it happens with default theme or whether
you use a special(tm) theme. Since there was no overwhelming reports of
it not starting since the buster release, I'd assume - if it happens at
all - doesn*'t happen all times.

Bug#820081: libreoffice-writer: can't open LibreOffice Writer

2020-02-10 Thread Jan Jona Javoršek
Hi!

I can confirm the same bug with the now current 6.1.5-3+rpi1+deb10u5
(ruinning on a raspberry PI 4).

Removing libreoffice-gtk3 made writer start without issues (but without
theme integration). Writer displays no issues with libreoffice-gtk2 (and
runs with the correct theme). If I reinstall libreoffice-gtk3, the issue
returns.

I can attach strace and package info if necessary, but it looks related
to gtk3 theme integration.

Thank you!

2017-06-22 Thread Ferran Juanós
Package: libreoffice-writer

Dear Maintainer,

only is possible run writer if you purge libreoffice-gtk2 and gtk3, but
then looks very ugly, if you have installed libreoffice-gtk2 and gtk3
calc, draw, impress and math works well but you can't run writer.

Well, I don't think anyone can check this with "just" that info.

What does gdb and/or strace say (see README.Debian and
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport/Debug_Information#GNU.2FLinux:_How_to_get_an_strace_log

If it was a general problem it'd have been reported already *and* as you
say below it's even writer-specific...

Interesting.

(In this case you probably want to run soffice --writer for strace instead
of "just" soffice)

Rene

Bug#820081: libreoffice-writer: can't open LibreOffice Writer

2016-04-05 Thread Pierre Crescenzo
Package: libreoffice-writer
Version: 1:5.1.2~rc1-1
Severity: important

Hello,

I can't open LibreOffice Writer. I always have the "Récupération de documents
LibreOffice" ("LibreOffice Document Recovery") windows, with no document. And
Writer crashes without message.

And if i try to open an existing document (odf or doc or docx), I always have
the same "Récupération de documents LibreOffice" ("LibreOffice Document
Recovery") windows, with this document. And the recovery fails. And Writer
crashes without message.

I have delete the ".config/libreoffice" directory but no change.

No problem with other LibreOffice parts: Calc or Impress are OK.

Thank you!
