probably yeah, as I was surprised by the mere existence of this new
logfile and then also that it's immediatly compressed I found rather
strange…

on a second thought this is probably ok though.

What did you have in mind as a bug against apt?  The xz compression of
the log file is leaves behind?

thanks, there's some 42 packages or so affected so I decided to indeed
ignore it. 

(though i'm surprised it's .xz compressed already, but whatever.)

yeah. (maybe a bug against apt is still in order, dunno.)

I've commited the fix to git and am deploying it to piuparts.d.o atm,
though I will not reschedule the affected packages now, as there is a
huge backlog of rescheduled packages affected by the recent syntax
error…

I'm not sure when and why it gets created, but try building and then
testing the source package cluster-gesture_0.0.2.1-7.1, currently in the
deferred upload queue, or possibly in the archive by the time you read
this.

However, doesn't piuparts ignore changes to other dpkg and apt log files
already, like the main dpkg status file?

I am with that error too. I checked dvbcakup
yesterday and everything was fine. But today
I have this same error.

The log page of dvbackup has a little more info[0].
It does not talk about eipp.log.xz, though. local
piuparts version 0.71.
