Bug#838318: ibus: Characters swapped under certain circumstances
Thank you for your answer. > I am not having such problem here with japanese conversion engin. So it > is likely to be the problem by the package offering "sanskrit - IAST > (m17n)" I tried with the Japanese input method, and still find the same glitch (typing ";!" results in "!;", etc.). Is this particulat to some application or always true for all program? This applies to all programs I use (web browser, terminal, text editor) . What to do from now? Should I report this to the developers, too? I am not having such problem here with japanese conversion engin. So it is likely to be the problem by the package offering "sanskrit - IAST (m17n)" > For instance: typing "ape" results in "pae", although typing "aei" or "zrt" > produces the corresponding letter sequences. Bug#838318: ibus: Characters swapped under certain circumstances
Package: ibus Version: 1.5.11-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, I'm experiencing an annoying glitch with the "sanskrit - IAST (m17n)" input method: when I press a key that can be part of an input sequence and then another key that cannot, the corresponding letters are swapped. For instance: typing "ape" results in "pae", although typing "aei" or "zrt" produces the corresponding letter sequences. I've used ibus for a few years on a variety of systems, but never had this issue.
