Hi! It looks like fixing this FTBFS isn't viewed as high priority. Understandably, as big endian is basically dead: in Debian, only release archs left are mips and s390x; the former seems to be on its way out (in favour of mips64el), the latter has no graphical hardware whatsoever.
There's no rush for Stretch (1.20-1 is fine); if you'd want to RM big endian binaries for Buster, the only concern are other packages Depending and Build-Depending on advancecomp. Of those, the only arch:any one is crawl which I co-maintain. As that package is split with images in an arch:all binary, having images unoptimized or optimized with a worse alternative such as optipng when built on big endian is perfectly acceptable (only unofficial builds would be ever affected...). Thus, if you plan to resort to dropping big endian support, just give me a word. Meow! -- Don't be racist. White, amber or black, all beers should be judged based solely on their merits.
