To me severity of this issue is minor: 1) Purge does exactly what's expected. IMHO no need to prompt user, not at the cost of debconf maintenance for merely one boolean question.
2) This not a real prompt but merely a 10 seconds delay. Could have been worse but definitely breaks no unattended scripts. 3) Using debconf would elevate harmless delay to full interactive prompt demanding user's response which appears excessive as "purge" is already chosen. 4) To me script is already policy compliant because 10 seconds delay without human interaction is not a real prompt hence is does not fall under ยง3.9.1 [1]. 5) To avoid any doubt I'm going to patch away prompt and delay.
