Hi. Indeed, returning to 1.6.0 fixed the problem for me. I investigated the upstream bug and it seems there is a workaround. The request gets masked only if /etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf contains any request directive. The default debian one does, but after commenting it out, the NetworkManager works
