Package: backup2l Version: 1.6-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I noticed that filenames with a ? character do not restore properly, e.g. tar: mnt/disk/home/rd.disk/MP3/Die Kinder-Uni/Die Kinder-Uni - Warum ist der Weltraum so gross/08 - Quietscht der Raum \177.ogg: Not found in archive The real filename is /mnt/disk/home/rd.disk/MP3/Die Kinder-Uni/Die Kinder-Uni - Warum ist der Weltraum so gross/08 - Quietscht der Raum ?.ogg I understand that ? in a file name is not a good idea in the first place, but some tools generate file names with ? characters automatically. Many thanks for maintaining backup2l Rainer -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) backup2l depends on no packages.
