This looks like a duplicate of bug#850024.
And it appears to have been fixed.
What I ment was that I have the menu bar and scrollbar set to not
visible.
I have now also tried to reset the settings I have made for the
terminal to see if there was any difference. But I get the same
behavior.

I can't reproduce this from your instructions, but it sounds a lot like
