That sounds like an RC bug; those build-dependencies should have been
packaged before packaging the font.

Suggestion: At first file an RFP and cc the SASS team: 
pkg-sass-de...@lists.alioth.debian.org

That way you raise the chances of others helping out with the packaging 
task.

Assuming your package is for official Debian inclusion, you will need to 
use the true source - i.e. SASS rather than generated CSS - anyway, no 
matter if you need to patch it or not.
