Bug#868641: libzim-dev: Upgrade libzim to 2.0.0
No worries, thanks for the update! . Btw take over RFP for both kiwix packages also. Emmanuel mentioned my name in RFP but I didn't get time to take over the RFP. I'll sponsor the package. And yeah feel free to use packaging tools of your choice in kiwix packages. :) On 18-Jul-2017 05:26, "Kunal Mehta"wrote: Hi, On 07/16/2017 09:56 PM, Vasudev Kamath wrote: > When you are considering to change the packaging style please ask the > maintainer first, > if he/she is willing to change their packaging style. I should have been clearer in my first message that it was just a work in progress that I put together in a separate branch just to demonstrate that it can be built properly under Debian (no issues with library versions, meson/ninja, etc.). It wasn't anywhere close to acceptable for actually being used. > I've started working on libzim but it is in my machine and I will push > once I've completed my work. Awesome, that's wonderful :) I'll start working on libkiwix then. -- Kunal

Hi Kunal, > I started working updating the packaging on this in a "wip/2.0.0"[2] branch > to help with the kiwix packaging effort. When you are considering to change the packaging style please ask the maintainer first, if he/she is willing to change their packaging style. I observed that you removed my CDBS packaging effort without asking me. This is not acceptable for me!. I've started working on libzim but it is in my machine and I will push once I've completed my work. Best Regards, -- Vasudev Kamath https://copyninja.info
