Dear Maintainer, I can't rip the last track of a CD using cdparanoia on my CD drive. Other tools like asunder work well. It is a HL-DT-ST, model: DVD-RAM GH40L , release: RB02 cdparanoia -B returns a long list of error messages like: scsi_read error: sector=313555 length=1 retry=8 Sense key: 5 ASC: 21 ASCQ: 0 Transport error: Illegal SCSI request (rejected by target) System error: Invalid argument On drives that require a large -- presumably >= 588 -- sample offset correction that do not support reading into the lead-out area of the disc, cdparanoia will cause kernel transport errors and will fail when trying to rip the last track. Here's a patch: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/paranoia-dev/2013-July/000277.html This patch has not yet been applied upstream, since cdparanoia seems to be not actively developed. libcdio-tools contains a very similar tool, cd-paranoia, which has adopted this patch and works fine. Thanks for your work!
