I'm about to upload 1.6.0. Just packaged it but it has a completely
different build system based on dune and opam which I'm not so familiar
with. It's building now and piuparts doesn't complain but it still
needs some tuning.

Which is not a problem since there are no old binaries on these
architectures in the archive:
  https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/orpie

1.6.0 would be nice and fix 3 bugs in the BTS (including this one),
but the problem preventing orpie from reentering testing is unreleated.

Note: in case this was not clear, the failing code came from ocamlgsl.
This can also be seen in:

  https://github.com/oandrieu/ocamlgsl (obsolete)
  https://github.com/mmottl/gsl-ocaml

If there is a limitation, that's now in the libocamlgsl-ocaml package
(dependencies will need to be updated).

  Previous version: 1.5.2-2
  Current version: (not in testing)
  Hint:
Bug #939963: FTBFS with OCaml 4.08.0 (num)

This is fixed now, but testing migration needs a source-only upload.

But this will yield a FTBFS on armel/armhf/mips/mipsel.

This was fixed upstream[*] in 1.6.0:

commit 4c3fb795e8f09c18c326ece4877e07df64cd429e
Author: Paul Pelzl
Date: 2018-08-26 01:16:30 -0700

remove bitrotted local copy of ocamlgsl

It seems that orpie has now been removed from testing because of that.
Thus shouldn't this bug be RC?

If this cannot be fixed with reasonable effort,
