Yeah, I noticed that and started looking into it few weeks ago, but
never finished. It looks like pstoedit conditions which switches to
pass to gs based on the version of gs, and before some trigger version
it does not pass gs -dDELAYBIND. I was about to check if triggering
that also for more

I did a fresh install of debian testing.
I installed inkscape and pstoedit.
When using the LaTex extension in inkscape (extensions > render > latex) I get
the same error:
