Package: iputils-ping
Version: 3:20161105-1
Severity: minor
File: iputils

Dear Maintainer,

The man page for ping(8) has the following text in the AVAILABILITY section:

ping is part of iputils package and the latest versions are available
       in source form at http://www.skbuff.net/iputils/iputils-cur‐
       rent.tar.bz2.

This url is a 404. Furthermore, the skbuff.net/iputils page only seems to have
archive releases, with the current source maintained at
        https://github.com/iputils/iputils.

I have confirmed that the issue is present in the latest version of the man
page in collab-maint, as well:

https://anonscm.debian.org/git/collab-maint/iputils.git/tree/doc/ping.sgml

But the latest version in the upstream github has it fixed:
        https://github.com/iputils/iputils/blob/master/doc/ping.xml

I found out about this from someone in a networking context who needed to
look at ping's source to diagnose an ICMP issue, and was frustrated by how
unnecessarily roundabout it was to find that source.
