It should be good to go:

xotcl got fixed in

xotcl (1.6.8-4) unstable; urgency=medium
 * Remove the aolserver4-xotcl package since aolserver4 is to be removed from
Debian

And a simulated removal also works fine, I'm removing the moreinfo tag:

Cheers,
Moritz

$ ssh mirror.ftp-master.debian.org "dak rm -Rn aolserver4"

It looks like it's all done except for xotcl.

There are rdepends that need to be addressed first:

Checking reverse dependencies...
# Broken Depends:
aolserver4-nsldap: aolserver4-nsldap
aolserver4-nsmysql: aolserver4-nsmysql
aolserver4-nsopenssl: aolserver4-nsopenssl
aolserver4-nspostgres: aolserver4-nspostgres

aolserver4-nssqlite3: aolserver4-nssqlite3
dotlrn: dotlrn
openacs: openacs
xotcl: aolserver4-xotcl

# Broken Build-Depends:
aolserver4-nsldap: aolserver4-dev (>= 4.5.1-5)
aolserver4-nsmysql: aolserver4-dev (>= 4.5.1-5)
aolserver4-nsopenssl: aolserver4-dev (>= 4.5.1-5)
aolserver4-nspostgres: aolserver4-dev (>= 4.5.1)
aolserver4-nssha1: aolserver4-dev (>= 4.5.1)
aolserver4-nssqlite3: aolserver4-dev (>= 4.5.1-5)
aolserver4-nsxml: aolserver4-dev (>= 4.5.1)

Dependency problem found.

Please either file rm bugs for them or remove the depenency. Once that's
done, please remove the moreinfo tag.

Turning this into a proposed-removal bug.

debian/copyright points to http://aolserver.sf.net/ where the latest news
item is about it being copied to github in 2010.
https://github.com/aolserver/aolserver got its latest commit in 2009.

This looks fairly dead to me, and unless its maintainer knows better, I
don't think there is going to be any upstream security support.

It has also not been uploaded since an NMU that went into stretch, so
if it's removed from unstable, it will be trivial for prospective users
or maintainers to retrieve it from stretch.

If you want to keep this package around in Debian, please close this bug.
If not, please send the following commands to cont...@bugs.debian.org,
replacing nn with this bug's number:

severity nn normal
reassign nn ftp.debian.org
retitle nn RM: aolserver4 -- RoQA; unmaintained upstream, alternatives
exist, low popcon
thanks

(or replace RoQA with RoM if you are the maintainer)
