I can say that the problem exists in version 1.11-2. On my system, the
output from the systemctl command is as follows:
$ systemctl --user status redshift
● redshift.service - Redshift display colour temperature adjustment
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/user/redshift.service; enabled; vendor
preset: enabled)
Active: inactive (dead)

I tried to start the process by hand, and it sort of worked. But
redshift still hangs with the message that it is trying to figure
out the location using geoclue2.
