strict than the qt5 xcb driver in interpreting update areas. Lots of little 
annotation display bugs have been corrected.

I would like to draw your attention to my bug report

To say the truth, I don't use djview4 often, but the relevant code is used in
https://bitbucket.org/mrudolf/djview-poliqarp/
and there I will be missing the feature very much (I don't use djview4poliqarp 
systematically, but when I use it, then I use it very intensively developing 
indexes for a digitalized dictionary).
I would be very happy to help to diagnose the problem, unfortunately my skills 
are rather limited (I tried to use git bisec but got quite confused).
