Asciidoc is currently facing its end of life and I'm working with the different packages that depend on it to get its EOL go smooth. btrfs-progs already supports asciidoctor to build its documentation natively starting in 4.16. See: https://github.com/kdave/btrfs-progs/blob/master/configure.ac#L107 and https://github.com/kdave/btrfs-progs/blob/master/Documentation/Makefile.in#L56 All you have to do is change asciidoc to asciidoctor in debian/control and you can remove the dependency on xmlto that is not needed anymore also. Note: if you move your package to Salsa I'd be happy to work on a merge request if it helps. Thanks for your help, Joseph
