Thanks a lot, this now works as expected and will raise my productivity somewhat (and makes fire under my arse to port the newer xterm to MirBSD/XFree86 so I can use it there as well… when I last tried to upgrade its xterm (200 → 215) I failed at merging the local patches inherited from OpenBSD, but perhaps they are redundant now?).
