Mtail has never worked on mips64el, because inotify support is broken (still not sure where the root problem lies). It was compiled successfully once, but due to a mistake in debian/rules that meant not all tests were run. I was able to work-around this for prometheus, but the code in mtail is too complex for my limited golang abilities. There is a bug[1] open in the fsnotify library, but the project is semi-abandoned. So, for now I would like to request the removal of mtail from this architecture, so it can finally migrate to testing. PS: I also requested[2] mtail upstream to try to address this. Thanks.
