Bug#905922: Please enable support for Sinovoip Banana Pi M3

2018-08-13 Thread Bernhard
Hello Vagrant

I didn't tested U-Boot with serial console in the past.
My local electronic shop has an USB-TTL in stock and i'll order such a cable.

I'm willing to be a tester for this platform.
For update the status page, i need an account, but i'm sure, this is not a big
deal.

Thank you for the great support
Bernhard

Would you be willing to be listed as a tester for this platform and
update the status page for that platform?

  https://wiki.debian.org/U-boot
  https://wiki.debian.org/U-boot/Status

Regressions in u-boot are not uncommon, and I'm unable to test this
board myself.

Source: u-boot
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

It'd be great to support the Banana Pi M3.
The support for the A83t is not fully complete in the Kernel mainline.
An overview for the A83t is available at:
http://linux-sunxi.org/Linux_mainlining_effort

Basically, the board should be booted and the installer should be started.
- HDMI is available since kernel 4.17
- USB is available since kernel 4.14

Best regards and thank you for the great support
Bernhard
