The pull request in question only fixes a small part of the problem. I have tried updating to the new upstream version but the build system for the documentation package has completely changed. Originally, I was not interested in documenting the documentation package, it was uploaded as an NMU and I have kept it there ever since. I would consider dropping the documentation package unless someone steps in and provides me with a patch that allows me to include it again. For now, I will prepare a new version in the git repository, waiting to be uploaded. Anyone willing to help could check out the packaging repository and possibly play around with it, trying to build the documentation package.
