Bug#917950: baloo_file_extr[2787]: segfault

2019-01-05 Thread olga906090
Dear Lisandro,

almost all my problems were solved by removing/purging all packages from
unstable (only 47 - one of these have to have caused the problem). The
segfaults did not appear again after removing those packages if they do
I'll write again until then that topic is solved on my side. In case you
are still interested I can attach the list with the 47 unstable packages.

These unstable packages were unwillingly installed although I used the
following Pinning options as suggested in the Debian Wiki:
> Package: *
> Pin: release a=testing
> Pin-Priority: 900
>
> Package: *
> Pin: release o=Debian
> Pin-Priority: -10

This should have prevented installing unstable packages unless
explicitly told but when a package was removed from testing the unstable
equivalent was automatically installed without explicit notice.

Thanks for your work and help!
Maria

Bug#917950: baloo_file_extr[2787]: segfault

2019-01-05 Thread olga906090
Dear Lisandro,

I did upgrades. In between the error did not show up in dmesg one or two
times (although the irratic behavior didn't change, so that's possibly
unrelated?!). Now the error is back anyway.

lo is up and running (see attached textfile).

I also attached the output of "debsums" and of "dpkg -V".

Just to be complete about my system here are some additional infos where
I don't know if they are related:

Yesterday I had an additional error which already showed up some time
ago and I don't know what to make of it. This is unusual and I have to
restart:

[Fr Jan 4 14:50:37 2019] [drm:intel_cpu_fifo_underrun_irq_handler
[i915]] *ERROR* CPU pipe A FIFO underrun
[Fr Jan 4 14:50:37 2019] [drm:intel_cpu_fifo_underrun_irq_handler
[i915]] *ERROR* CPU pipe B FIFO underrun

Regular (possibly related?) errors in dmesg are:

[Sa Jan 5 09:26:03] resource sanity check: requesting [mem
0xfed1-0xfed15fff], which spans more than pnp 00:01 [mem
0xfed1-0xfed13fff]
[Sa Jan 5 09:26:03 2019] caller snb_uncore_imc_init_box+0x6c/0xb0
[intel_uncore] mapping multiple BARs

I filed the following one in a different bug report:
Bug#918196: vboxdrv: module verification failed: signature and/or
required key missing - tainting kernel

And there are some messages concerning ata, acpi and drm but they don't
sound related, I don't know.

Thanks alot!
Maria

No one else has reported such a bug, so let me recommend you to:

- check that your loopback interface (lo) is up and running.
- run debsums
- check your hardware.

You cal also try upgrading your system, Qt has just migrated (you might need
to wait for it to get to your mirror).

Cheers, Lisandro.

Dear Lisandro,

I don't know if it is related (as my whole KDE is acting weird and slow)
or I should rather file a different bug report but I just realised there
is another segfault (SessionThread/libQt5Core) an hour after the
baloo_file_extr/libc-2.28.so segfault:

Could this be related to the ongoing transitions which are mentioned in
the IRC?

Thanks for your time!

Which version of systemd does your system have? Use

dpkg -l systemd

to get the info.

2019-01-01 Thread Maria
Package: baloo-kf5
Version: 5.51.0-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

after dist-upgrade today I get the following error message in dmesg:
> baloo_file_extr[2787]: segfault at 557db49eb9c0 ip 7f2dc3164d74 sp
7ffdf9080a98 error 4 in libc-2.28.so[7f2dc302a000+148000]

If I can provide more info please tell me what you need and how I can get it.

After this dist-upgrade I got alot of problems which might or might not be
related:
* startup takes several minutes (before it was just a matter of seconds)
* takes 10 to 20 seconds until the login screen is shown (while mouse on
blackscreen is working)
* taskbars of Plasma take quite some seconds to load until they appear (after
background and automaticly started software is already running)
* initial change of activity also takes a long time
* sound is not working at all

Here is my output of "dmesg -T"
