Hi,

the issue was fixed upstream in a new release (Mikkel, thanks a lot
for the quick and helpful solution).

The new release does contain more things than just a fix for that very
problem but other changes (for instance "Port to python3"). I admit my
prefered fix for this bug would be to simply ask ftpmaster for removal
of the i386 port instead of undergo a tricky extration of the solution
in the changed code base.

Alternatively the issue could be documented in README.Debian for i386
and the specific test ignored on this architecture. In this case I'd
leave the bug open but decrease severity to important and fix it by the
new upstream version after Buster release. (Please check the Debian bug
log[1] or upstream issue tracker to draw a founded decision how much
this might affect practical usage on an architecture that has most
probably zero users for this kind of software.)

Please tell me what you considered the prefered method (removal of i386
build or ignore test failure) given that no new upstream versions are
accepted in Freeze.

Kind regards

       Andreas.

I predict that I'll release a new version of AdapterRemoval 5 minutes ago. ;)
