Got my problem fixed. Turns out that two of my google contacts were
members of a strange group:
"contactGroupId": "136c5dae0ca94ac9"
As such,
$ goobook reload (also query and dquery)
didn't work and produce the error I reported previously. However, it turns
out that

Control: tags -1 unreproducible upstream
Control: forwarded -1
