Bug#956958: simple-cdd on Bullseye gives reprepro error

2021-01-07 Thread Ambrose Andrews
That issue does seem fixed in git. Ideally it'd be good to have this fix in
time to test simple-cdd with debian-installer bullseye release candidates.
(Although using the files from git is an available option as you say, but less
convenient in automated flows)

Bumped the severity to make sure this gets dealt with one way or another
before the bullseye release.

I intend upload in the coming weeks. It should be fixed in git; you
could try using git in the meantime.

The security mirror for bullseye (and presumably future releases as
well) has been renamed to DIST-security rather than DIST/updates.

This needs to be fixed in simple-cdd.

Thanks for the bug report!

Dear Maintainer,

Running build-simple-cdd with defaults on bullseye produces this error:
~/my-simple-cdd$ build-simple-cdd
2020-04-17 10:47:01 ERROR reprepro: updating package lists exited with code 255

   * What led up to the situation?
1. Tried build-simple-cdd on buster and received error that
$default_desktop was blank. Believed this to be bug with older version of
tasksel.
2. Upgraded system to bullseye

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
1. Verified that file exists:
https://deb.debian.org/debian/dists/bullseye/InRelease
2. Downloaded GPG keys used to sign this file.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
No change in error. Exact output same as above.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Expected images/ directory to be populated with custom ISO file
