I've found many bugs and quirks are fixed upstream at
https://repo.or.cz/w/tinycc.git

It's very actively maintained and endorsed by the now-inactive author [1].
tcc is also of interest for bootstrappable builds. They don't appear to
intend making a new versioned release, but I would be glad to help test
a snapshot for regressions, e.g. by trying to rebuild Debian packages
against the old and the new.
