That should read v4.2.2.
v4.2.1 was released without this patch.

Hm, Debian's qemu version is at 5.0.
Does this mean this bug report can be closed?
Maybe Anton needs to raise this with the Fedora
Attached is the upstream qemu patch which fixes this issue.
Maybe it makes sense to add it to debian's qemu sources,
or to queue it up in qemu for v4.2.1 ?

There is no support for 64bit (PA2.0) in qemu yet.

Is it possible to use a PA 2.0 kernel? It uses ldcw,co which only needs 4-byte
alignment.
Only very old versions of glibc use ldcw directly in userspace.

The relevant error is:
Not-handled unaligned insn 0x0f8011dc
which translates to this assembler statement:
ldcw 0(ret0),ret0
The ldcw expects an 16-byte aligned address, but in some specific version of
hppa's glibc implementation was a bug which could not guarantee this.

Hi Anton,
hppa is no longer a supported architecture.
If you want to see this fixed, you'll need to provide a patch and get
that accepted upstream or have to work with someone who can help with
Package: systemd-sysv
Version: 245.6-1
I attached installation and running scripts at the bottom. I ran
Debian 10.0.0 installation cdrom with Qemu 4.2.0, installation went
fine but the bus error appears all the time while running.
Let me know if you need this VM qcow2 image. CDROM image
