Thank you for the patch.

Unfortunately, this bug probably does not meet the standard for a update
to the "stable" release. The guidelines [0] are that a bug to be fixed in
stable should have at least severity "important", which is defined as 

    a bug which has a major effect on the usability of a package, without
    rendering it completely unusable to everyone.

which I think this probably doesn't justify.
