Bug#969477: zfs-dkms fails to compile with 5.7.0-3 kernel blocking kernel upgrade

2020-10-28 Thread Antonio Russo

Control: tag -1 normal

In an off-list discussion, the reporter has said that the issue has
spontaneously
resolved for kernel 5.9 on Debian sid. I am therefore reducing the severity to
normal.

If this problem reoccurs for anyone, please also show your exact kernel header
version, i.e.,

# apt-cache policy linux-headers-$(uname -r)

for the affected kernel version.

Bug#969477: zfs-dkms fails to compile with 5.7.0-3 kernel blocking kernel upgrade

2020-10-12 Thread Antonio Russo

Hello Jordan,

Do you have the architecture-specific Linux headers installed?
I.e., please call

# uname -r

that should give you something like 5.8.0-2-amd64

Is the package linux-headers-5.8.0-2-amd64 installed (replaced for your
specific kernel version)?

Or, just run

# apt-cache policy linux-headers-$(uname -r)

And send the output.

Best,
Antonio
